General Information

The laboratory was founded in 2015 and is a subdivision of the RASA Center in Tomsk. It is focused on the study of the protective effectiveness of new inhibitors of mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPK) in experimental models of ischemia-reperfusion. In addition, it carries out experimental studies of protective effect mechanisms of MAPK inhibitors on the model of ischemia and reperfusion in the brain of laboratory animals.

The research team evaluates the effect of new JNK and MKK7 inhibitors on the inflammation level in the area of ischemic cerebral stroke, researches the effects of the inhibitors on cerebral blood flow during experimental cerebral ischemia-reperfusion, and studies the effect of JNK and MKK7 inhibition on the level of neurological deficit, caused by occlusion of the middle cerebral artery. The obtained data will lay a foundation for insight into the mechanism of neuroprotective action, associated with the inhibition of kinases of the JNK cascade.

The laboratory carries out training of students and advanced training of the TPU specialists, patents and licenses engineering solutions and developments, and registers inventions and rationalization proposals.
