Welding engineering is developing rapidly and will largely determine the technical progress in the 21st century. Almost any modern technology especially aviation, rocket, energy, chemical, nuclear is unthinkable without welding. Currently, welding allows combining any metals and alloys, plastics, ceramics, glass, living tissue, and other materials. Welding engineers use arc, plasma, high-frequency and ultrasonic welding, explosion welding, electron and laser beams, friction welding and many other methods. The modern welding equipment can operate independently and conduct welding works without human support.


Technological machinery and equipment is a field of engineering, which includes a set of tools, methods, and approaches for creating, operating and maintaining machines and equipment for manufacturing materials and products in various sectors of an economy. The professional activity of the program graduates will be related to machines and equipment, their design, production, debugging, operation, and maintenance.

  • weld with use of various welding technologies manually or using industrial automated welding systems
  • design units and parts of various machines
  • test machines and their elements for reliability
  • design standard technological processes for manufacturing blanks, parts, assemblies of parts and machines
  • control the production process (production site level)
  • conduct industrial research activity
