Overview

The Bachelor program in Biomedical Engineering was designed to provide students with excellent analytical and research skills. This program implies the active participation in R&D and designing projects in the areas of news efficient biotechnological systems and technologies. The program uses the University advanced lab facility as well as facilities of Siberian State Medical University, JSC MedTech, Institutes of high-current electronics and atmospheric optics of the Tomsk Scientific Center (SB RAS), and innovation enterprises of Tomsk and Tomsk region. This collaboration allows considerably increasing level of training.

The program graduates will be able to:

  • apply knowledge of health and safety regulations and environmental protection requirements
  • apply knowledge and skills of project management in engineering activities taking into account legal aspects of intellectual property protection
  • know and apply legal, social, environmental, and cultural aspects of engineering activity
  • conduct complex engineering projects in development of high-performance biomedical and environmental engineering using basic and specialized knowledge
  • implement, operate and maintain modern high-tech equipment, related to biotechnical systems and technologies and ensure its high efficiency
  • know different aspects of health and safety issues
