The program is focused on training engineers for petroleum industry in the field of automation of technological processes of transport and processing of hydrocarbon raw materials. They will able to develop and apply modern software and hardware of information technology, including the most promising automated computer systems aimed at processing data in petroleum industry.

The Tomsk University provides expert, research and engineering support to a number of companies, engaged in production, transportation, processing, and storage of petroleum products. Thus the academic staff has excellent theoretical and practical experience, used for training students.
