Overview

The program graduates will be able to conduct prospecting and exploration of oil, gas, and gas condensate; assess resources and estimate hydrocarbon reserves, and conduct geological support for the development of petroleum fields. The program pays particular attention to research and engineering practice. The balanced curriculum allows the graduate to conduct engineering and research activities in various exploration, oil and gas companies, and in academic, research and centers, and leading petroleum companies.

Learning output

This program equips students with all the necessary skills and knowledge, allowing them to:

  • conduct searches and selection of the most profitable mining technologies, ore opening schemes at the deposits
  • create deposit models and choice of standard parameters
  • collect, analyze and summarize geological, geochemical, geophysical, radiometric and other data
  • improve existing and develop new methods to study ores, conduct geological exploration
  • calculate stocks of raw materials and related components
  • apply various methods and approaches for collecting, analyzing and summarizing stock geological, geochemical, geophysical and other data
  • apply main methods, approaches, and technologies for exploration, mining, and processing of ores
