Overview | The program is aimed to train highly qualified specialists able to assess geo-ecological consequences as a result of any production activity related to subsoil exploration, extraction and processing of mineral resources, development new high-tech and energy-intensive industries, and develop measures to minimize the negative impact on nature and human health. The program uses facility of the University Division for Geology and the International Research Center – Uranium Geology, including modern computer and multimedia equipment, unique laboratory equipment and devices, like scanning electron microscope, spectrophotometer, chromatograph, laboratory microscope, mercury analyzer, and others. The program graduates obtain broad and advanced knowledge in the field of environmental management, unique knowledge in the field of chemistry and geochemistry, biology and physics. The student will be able to conduct and supervise research and field tests, which can be applied for analysis and solution of geo-environmental problems of modern society.
