Overview

The program was designed to train specialists in the areas of the production-and-technological, managerial, research, operational, and other special activities. Tomsk Polytechnic University pays particular attention to graduates practical skills. Therefore, the distinctive feature of the program graduates is the ability to conduct all these activities at enterprises of various industries, engaged in the development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of automated control systems.

The program actively uses the facility of Tomsk University such as:

  • specialized classrooms
  • research laboratories
  • advanced computer rooms

 

Along with this, there are industrial computer software databases with real cases.

This program equips students with all the necessary skills and knowledge, allowing them to:

  • apply means, methods, and approaches aimed at automating existing and creating new automated technologies and industries ensuring the production of competitive products
  • develop tools and systems for automation and control of various purposes
  • justify, develop, implement and ensure observance of norms and requirements for products of various purposes, its life cycle, processes of its development, manufacturing, quality management, transportation, and decommissioning
  • design and upgrade structures and processes of industrial enterprises within a single information space
  • create and apply algorithmic, hardware and software systems for automation, management, and control of technological processes and production
  • work with automated equipment, designed for various enterprises and organizations, production and technological processes of the oil and gas industry
