Tomsk Polytechnic University entered the top three of Russia’s best universities on work with international students and international student cooperation on the basis of the full-time stage of the 21st Century’s Leader All-Russia Contest on the best organization of student self-government activity.

At the contest, TPU was presented by Maria Vorotilo, the head of the Svoy Podkhod Student Patriotic Public Association, a coordinator of intercultural dialog and civic-patriotic education of students.
‘Upon results of the correspondence stage of the contest, back in December 2017, I submitted applications from Svoy Podkhod for two categories: intercultural interaction and civic-patriotic education, which both were qualified to the final. We received an invitation to defend our projects at the 78th session of the All-Russia Student Self-Government School 21st Century’s Leader in the city of Rostov-on-Don.
At the full-time stage, we won in the category Best System for Work with International Students and International Student Cooperation with the project Days of National Cultures at TPU,’

TPU entered the top three of best universities together with Tumen Industrial University and South-Ural State University.

It is noteworthy that the project Days of National Cultures at TPU also won a grant by Rosmolodezh for its further implementation. According to the website of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, the funding of the correspondence stage of the All-Russia Contest of Youth Projects in 2018 amounts to 235 million rubles.
