31.08.2017 Rankings

RAEX Ranking Agency (Expert RA) made a ranking list of 200 best schools in Russia. TPU Lyceum joined the TOP 10 best schools and was also ranked among the TOP 5 in terms of competitive advantage of its graduates.

This year the RAEX made a third ranking list of Russian schools. The major objective of such ranking is to define which schools train the majority of graduates for the best Russian universities included into the RAEX TOP 20.

The RAEX experts analyzed information on over 93 thousand graduates from 12 thousand Russian schools. In total, the ranking included schools from 33 subjects of the Russian Federation with 4 schools from Tomsk Region.

TPU Lyceum, being the only school from Tomsk, managed to join the ranking.

Besides, for the first time in 2017 the Agency analyzed the competitive advantage of school graduates. Among the TOP 5 are the schools from Moscow, St-Petersburg and TPU Lyceum. The majority of their graduates entered state-funded courses in the best Russian universities.

“The ranking showed that the leading schools are traditionally affiliated with leading Russian universities. The majority of graduates were trained at schools functioning on the basis of universities <…> and having close partnership relations with them. It is often demonstrated by joint specialized classes, educational programs adjusted to the university needs”, - say RAEX experts.

It is worth mentioning that TPU Lyceum serves a unique educational platform with a special focus on engineering sciences. Teachers and young scientists of TPU deliver special courses and lectures for students of TPU Lyceum. Moreover, students have an opportunity to conduct research within TPU departments and laboratories.

TPU Lyceum also collaborates with large industrial companies. There are such specialized classes as Gazprom class  (in partnership with Gazprom transgaz Tomsk), IT class (in partnership with Kaspersky Lab, Mail.ru Group and KUKA Robotics), and Atom class (under the support of the Atomic Energy Information Center of Rosatom Corporation). This year two new classes were opened in the Lyceum: Aerospace class (in partnership with S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia) and a specialized class with Transneft Company.

Besides, this year TPU Lyceum again demonstrated the best result in the city in terms of its graduates with 100 points in the Unified State Exam. Furthermore, this year out of 126 graduates of the Lyceum there were 19 graduates with honors.
