TPU delegation headed by Petr Chubik, Rector of Tomsk Polytechnic University, visited Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU). TPU representatives got acquainted with innovative laboratories of KazNU and determined areas for further cooperation. Following the meeting, rectors of the universities signed a cooperation agreement.

In KazNU, the delegation of Tomsk Polytechnic University visited the Samsung Innovation Laboratory targeted at students of higher educational institutions and secondary specialized colleges. Then TPU representatives attended the Science and Technology Park and the Situational Management Center.

“We are honored to be at your university, the most dynamically developing university in the CIS community. Although I saw only a small part, I am delighted with innovative solutions of the most advanced world level, and development rates of material, technical and scientific infrastructure”, — the Press Service of KazNU quotes Petr Chubik.

It is noteworthy that Tomsk Polytechnic University and KazNU already conduct joint research. In particular, we are talking about scientific support of geological study of subsurface and brownfields exploration for the replacement of mineral resources, as well as designing space structural schemes (in collaboration with K.I. The universities develop a distributed intellectual system for assessment and forecasting of children morbidity at an early age following the adaptation strategies (in collaboration with Karaganda State Technical University), deal with ceramics synthesis with predetermined composition (in collaboration with JSC Center for Earth Sciences, Metallurgy and Enrichment) and cooperate in other projects.
