«Case-in» International Engineering Championship is the most large-scale practice-oriented project held as a competition in solving engineering cases (practical tasks) among students of fuel and energy and mineral resources complexes. The championship includes five areas (leagues): power industry, mining, geological exploration, oil and gas engineering and metallurgy.

At the Championship teams are offered the tasks developed on the basis of real production issues. The championship participants have to study the materials, suggest the original technical solutions, calculate the efficiency with economic, social and environmental criteria, and make presentations.

Championship consists of full-time qualifying stages held at 47 leading technical universities in Russia and CIS countries, and Moscow final stage for the best teams.

In late May the best ones will go to the finals in Moscow, where they will compete with the students and postgraduate students from Russian, Kazakhstan and Mongolia universities for the title of the best engineering student teams and for the opportunity to have internships in the leading companies.

«Case-in» International Engineering Championship is the successor of the All-Russian Championship in Solving Cases in Mining Industry (2013 - 2014) and the All-Russian Championship in Solving Cases of Energy Industry (2015).  More details on the website of «Case-in» International Engineering Championship.
