Call for papers
The Conference will begin in Tomsk on Monday, 7 June 2004 and will last there for two days. Then, participants will be taken by a bus to Barnaul on Wednesday, 9 June, and the Conference will continue in Barnaul on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10, 11 and 12 June 2004.
Topics
It is anticipated that proposed papers would present research findings describing the effectiveness of new approaches to environmental engineering education. Suggested topics for Conference papers include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
- Cultivation of ecological attitudes in society
- Integration of theory and practice for the creation of ecological habits in education
- Innovations in environmental education
- Engineering approaches to environmental education
- Management and protection of the environment versus environmental education
- New trends and approaches to environmental engineering education
- Accreditation of environmental engineering programmes and courses
- E-learning and multimedia in environmental engineering education
- Mobility of staff and students in environmental engineering education
- International collaborative programmes in environmental engineering education
- Case studies in environmental engineering education and the protection of the environment
- Transfer of information on environmental engineering education
- Academia/industry collaboration programmes
- Further and continuing education in environmental engineering
The needs of the region and its industries are of particular interest, especially as they relate to matters concerning methods and effectiveness of training in further and continuing environmental engineering education. The implementation of special collaborative programmes, novel methods and innovative approaches to education are of particular relevance to the Conference.
